Detects outbound HTTP POST requests associated with the ChainDrop/Shai-Hulud malware family. The rule looks for 'eth_call' JSON-RPC method calls targeting a specific Ethereum smart contract address known to be used for EtherHiding C2 infrastructure, where malicious payloads or commands are embedded within blockchain interactions.
Detects Shai-Hulud / ChainDrop activity by correlating known malicious hashes, npm/Node/Bun execution, payload artifacts, IDE persistence, credential discovery, cloud metadata access, GitHub exfiltration, C2 domains, Ethereum RPC activity, staging files, persistence artifacts, and known IOC IP connections.
This rule detects suspicious outbound HTTP POST requests containing specific JSON fingerprint payloads associated with ClickFix campaigns. The fingerprint contains a mode set to 'php', typically delivered via hidden, auto-submitting forms on malicious domains to profile victims or deliver secondary payloads.
Detects correlated SMOKE#SCREEN activity where a victim host is served a fake Zoom/Flash update lure, an HTTP response containing a JavaScript auto-download trigger, and a Dropbox-hosted payload link, all within the same hourly window.
Detects Microsoft Defender XDR UrlClickEvents where a clicked URL or extracted clicked domain matches known Coinbase Cartel-related URL, onion, messaging, or infrastructure indicators.
WhiteCobra Operation Solidity Pro - Telegram Bot API exfiltration upload
Detects successful DNS resolution responses, TLS SNI values, and HTTP Host headers referencing known Shai-Hulud/Miasma token-jacking transfer station infrastructure (amutes.com, abb1.life) used by attackers to resell stolen AI/LLM API access via gray-market proxy services.
Detects a network connection to Google's passkey enclave or caBLE hybrid-transport domain (*.ua5v.com) that should be correlated with EDR process telemetry to confirm the source process is non-browser, unsigned, or otherwise anomalous rather than the legitimate Chrome browser.
Detects network communication associated with the TOKYOCORE malware C2 infrastructure. The rule monitors for specific API endpoints (/api/victim/(log|data|command|archive)) combined with known malicious User-Agent strings (RansomAgent or fsociety/1.0), as well as suspicious multipart form data uploads that may indicate data staging or exfiltration.
Detects network activity associated with the Dolphin X malware, including DNS queries, TLS SNI requests, and direct TCP traffic to known C2 infrastructure patterns on specific ports.
Detects DOUBLECUP's session polling/telemetry beacon to /session/reg, /session/check, and /session/signal with a sid= query parameter, requiring at least 5 requests within 15 seconds to match the malware's 1.2-3 second polling cadence.
Dolphin X DNS query for thedolphinx.top C2 domain
UNC6692 Edgecution phishing/payload page hosted on AWS S3 static website hosting (patch.html/.a payload)
Detects outbound HTTPS traffic to api.telegram.org originating from non-standard or unsigned processes. This rule is designed to identify potential data exfiltration by malware (such as stealers or trojans) using the Telegram Bot API as a C2 or exfiltration channel. It relies on a companion rule to establish flowbits for legitimate client traffic.
Detects specific WebSocket JSON-formatted C2 agent registration and profiling traffic associated with the TAG-195/TinyEgg campaign. The rules look for specific registration markers (agent_register, request_register) and host profiling data (hostname, username, OS, domain, isAdmin status) characteristic of this threat actor's C2 communication.
Detects network traffic indicating msaRAT behavior where a host initiates a STUN/TURN token request to a Cloudflare Workers (.workers.dev) domain. The rule identifies suspicious characteristics including spoofed Microsoft-related Origin or Referer headers and a HeadlessChrome User-Agent, commonly used by automated C2 communication.
A non-browser process pivoting through the browser's CDP loopback debug port, so the RAT's own traffic never leaves 127.0.0.1. Tightened to exclude known developer tooling and browser automation frameworks (VS Code debugger, Chrome DevTools frontend, Selenium/Puppeteer/Playwright drivers) that legitimately attach to the local CDP debug port.
Detects outbound HTTP POST requests to a Polygon blockchain JSON-RPC endpoint containing the eth_call method and a specific hardcoded smart contract address and function selector associated with the TELEPUZ malware command-and-control communication.
Detects DNS queries for the Twilio TURN relay domain 'global.turn.twilio.com', which is associated with msaRAT C2 activity. This indicator is low-confidence and intended to be used as part of a correlation with other behaviors like loopback C2 traffic or suspicious DevTools usage.
