Detects network traffic associated with the EvilTokens phishing kit's 'killed' gate check mechanism. The kit GETs /api/device/gate/<PAGE_ID> with the ngrok-skip-browser-warning header. When the backend returns a killed flag, the phishing page wipes the DOM and renders a fake 'Page Not Found - Microsoft' error to evade analysis or block specific victims.
Detects a browser session that contacts an EvilTokens Device Code phishing endpoint (/api/device/status/) and then immediately navigates to onedrive.live.com. This indicates that the attacker's backend successfully returned 'status:completed' and the phishing kit executed a window.location.replace to redirect the victim to OneDrive after token capture.
This rule detects potential information disclosure attempts by monitoring W3C IIS logs for repeated queries containing keywords like 'version', 'build', or 'debug'. A high frequency (5 or more attempts within an hour) from a single IP address suggests an adversary is trying to enumerate software versions or debug information, which can be used for further reconnaissance or exploit development.
Detects an unusually high volume (100 or more within an hour) of API calls (POST, DELETE, PUT methods to URIs containing 'api') originating from a single IP address. This activity could indicate various malicious behaviors such as brute-force attacks, credential stuffing, web application attacks, or a denial-of-service attempt against the API endpoint.
Detects network activity associated with the EKZ Stealer malware, specifically an HTTP POST request used to exfiltrate base64-encoded credentials to a known malicious destination at 83.138.53.110/service/save.php.
Detects outbound HTTP requests to a known phishing infrastructure panel associated with the Montana Empire malware campaign, specifically targeting the /mentalite.php endpoint on pttvm.com.
This rule detects network connections to phishing pages hosted on the workers.dev domain that are attempting to interact with EvilTokens device code API endpoints. These pages are known to implement developer hotkey prevention (F12 blocked, context menu disabled) to hinder in-browser analysis, indicating malicious intent.
This rule monitors the creation of new Azure Function Apps and identifies those that receive external, non-private network requests within 48 hours of their creation. This pattern may indicate the deployment of malicious or unauthorized serverless infrastructure for command-and-control, proxying, or automated tasks.
Detects HTTP requests to Microsoft 365 search endpoints containing unusually long query strings. Such patterns may indicate automated data extraction, exfiltration over alternative protocols, or unauthorized information harvesting via search parameters.
This rule detects network requests to the Bing 'search by image' endpoint where an external URL is provided as the query parameter. Adversaries may use this technique to perform reconnaissance, such as searching for images of internal documentation, sensitive infrastructure, or to identify if internal files have been indexed or leaked online.
This rule detects potentially malicious search queries within Microsoft 365 or Copilot-related URLs intercepted by email gateways, proxies, or SIEM sources. It monitors for suspicious query parameters that may indicate attempts to hide malicious content, such as HTML tags (e.g., <img>), image-related keywords, or excessively long query strings, which could be indicative of phishing attempts or browser-based exploitation techniques.
This rule detects potential data exfiltration through the Bing Image Search 'search-by-image' feature. It identifies web traffic to Bing that contains an 'imgurl' parameter, decodes the URL, and filters out legitimate Microsoft-related domains. It then flags suspicious, potentially encoded file paths or data structures that might indicate the use of this public service to exfiltrate or host staging data.
Detects the SearchLeak (CVE-2026-42824) exploit, where an attacker uses a prompt-injected M365 Copilot URL to force the assistant to search the victim's mailbox for sensitive authentication information such as MFA codes, OTPs, or security passcodes. The rule correlates an external HTTP request containing the malicious URL with a subsequent Exchange search query initiated by the Copilot service within a 2-minute window.
Detects browser network events matching Tycoon2FA WebSocket interactions used to silently stream stolen session cookies back to the AiTM proxy backend. The rule specifically looks for WebSocket connections (wss:// or ws://) with a path containing '/socket.io/?EIO=' initiated by 'chrome.exe' or 'msedge.exe'.
Monitors IIS web servers for signs of potential exploitation by tracking suspicious child processes spawned by worker processes (w3wp.exe/iisexpress.exe), tracking unexpected WER (Windows Error Reporting) crashes associated with IIS workers, aggregating IIS-related application crashes, and detecting anomalous W3C IIS log request patterns (e.g., malformed content-length, negative bytes, or suspicious URI characteristics).
Detects exploitation attempts against GeoServer targeting CVE-2024-36401, a vulnerability involving unsafe OGC filter property name evaluation. The rule monitors for malicious HTTP patterns in incoming requests to OGC endpoints (ows, wfs, wms, wcs) and identifies subsequent suspicious process spawning by the GeoServer JVM instance that indicate successful remote code execution.
Detects potential phishing activity involving a two-hop open-redirect chain. The rule monitors for an initial navigation to known SaaS platforms (HolaBrief or LoopedIn), followed within one minute by an outbound request to an external destination where the SaaS domain is present in the HTTP referrer header, indicating a redirect-based phishing mechanism.
Detects unauthorized attempts to escalate privileges within the MyBB Administrative Control Panel (ACP). The rule identifies malicious activity such as creating an administrator user by assigning usergroup 4, or accessing restricted configuration settings via HTTP POST/GET requests directed at the admin index script.
Detects Log4Shell JNDI exploitation attempts by scanning incoming network request data for JNDI patterns and simultaneously monitors for suspicious shell child processes (cmd, powershell, bash, sh) spawned by java.exe, indicating post-exploitation activity.
This rule monitors network logs (from proxies and firewalls) for web traffic (HTTP GET requests) containing suspicious JavaScript code injection patterns in the request context or message fields. It specifically looks for common XSS indicators such as <script tags, eval(), document.write(), fromCharCode(), and atob().
This rule detects exploitation attempts targeting CVE-2026-0300 in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS. It identifies suspicious network connections to User-ID Authentication Portal ports (6081, 6082) from external IP addresses, excluding RFC1918 and loopback ranges. Additionally, it looks for a specific anomalous User-Agent string associated with the CL-STA-1132 threat actor, which has been observed during exploitation of this vulnerability.
