On March 11, 2026, the global medical technology giant Stryker experienced a severe cyberattack when Iranian-linked hackers called Handala Hack affiliated with Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) used wiper malware to permanently erase data from its network. Based On the List of IOC’s seen from the previous attacks from the threat group I’ve done threat hunt.

This rule detects suspicious command-line activity indicative of SSH tunneling, external IP checks, and reconnaissance commands. It looks for specific IP addresses associated with known C2 or SSH tunnel infrastructure, SSH command-line options like 'StrictHostKeyChecking=no' and reverse tunnel flags ('-R', '-N'), the use of 'ifconfig.me' for external IP discovery, and various 'whoami' and 'groups' commands for system reconnaissance. It also flags activity related to 'FMAPP.exe' or 'FMAPP.dll'.

Detects possible MuddyWater related activity in Microsoft Defender XDR Advanced Hunting by correlating suspicious process, network, file, and logon telemetry into a unified timeline. The hunt focuses on behaviours reported in the Huntress MuddyWater attack chain, including Remote Desktop logons, reconnaissance commands, OpenSSH reverse tunnelling, suspicious network connections, and possible DLL side loading involving FMAPP.exe and FMAPP.dll.

This rule set detects various activities associated with the Dohdoor malware campaign (UAT-10027). It includes detection for known malware hashes, suspicious network communication patterns such as DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to Cloudflare with specific user agents, staging URL patterns, and odd-cased infrastructure domains. Additionally, it identifies endpoint activities like curl downloading batch/command files and DLL sideloading attempts using specific DLL names and LOLBins executed from common public writeable directories. The intent is to provide strong leads for investigation into potential Dohdoor infections.

This rule detects suspicious activity related to WebView2 processes interacting with AI webchat domains, potentially indicating covert command and control (C2) proxying or other malicious use. It looks for WebView2 traffic to specific AI domains (Grok, Copilot) originating from unusual parent processes, WebView2 access to Grok with URL parameter-driven prompt execution, and suspicious child process execution (cmd.exe, powershell.exe, calc.exe) where WebView2 is the parent process.

Detects the execution or presence of files associated with the Muddled Libra threat actor's toolkit. This includes tools for tunneling (Chisel), Active Directory reconnaissance (ADRecon, ADExplorer), and the initial tool archive (goon.zip). The rule identifies process execution by hash, filename, or command line arguments, and file creation events for specific hashes.

This detection identifies potentially malicious SSH tunneling activity initiated by OpenClaw‑derived AI agents, including earlier variants such as Clawdbot and Moltbot. OpenClaw is known to operate with extensive access to the underlying operating system and command‑line interface, creating opportunities for misuse when vulnerable or misconfigured. Instances of OpenClaw have been shown to expose sensitive automation capabilities, making them a high‑risk launching point for unauthorized system‑level actions.

The rule specifically looks for SSH or Plink processes executed with tunneling or proxying flags (such as -L, -R, -D, -oProxyCommand, and similar switches commonly associated with port forwarding, lateral movement, credential exfiltration, covert channels, and SOCKS proxy creation). When these commands originate from OpenClaw, Clawdbot, or Moltbot processes, it may indicate that an AI agent has been compromised or repurposed to establish unauthorized remote access pathways.

Detects network traffic to a local proxy on port 7152, a behavior associated with a malicious NuGet package campaign involving NCryptYo, DOMOAuth2_, IRAOAuth2.0, and SimpleWriter_. This traffic is characterized by communication to a loopback address (127.0.0.1 or ::1) or 'localhost' on the suspicious port, specifically targeting '/api/auth/' endpoints.

Detects a specific persistence mechanism where a scheduled task named 'TPMProfiler' is used to run QEMU, establishing an SSH backdoor. This technique was identified by Huntress in post-exploitation activity related to SolarWinds WHD exploitation. The rule identifies both the execution of QEMU with SSH port forwarding command-line arguments and the creation of the malicious scheduled task.
