This rule performs a sweep across device file and network events for indicators of compromise (IOCs) associated with the UAT-11587/Antino campaign. It detects malicious file hashes, specific C2 domain connections, and known lure URLs (HTA/WSF) identified by Cisco Talos.
Detects script execution (such as wscript, cscript, mshta) spawned from a shell parent process (like explorer.exe or cmd.exe) referencing browser cache files (matching f_* in browser profile directories) or copying scripts to the local Temp directory as t.vbs.
Detects when a Bandizip executable loads an unsigned dynamic-link library (DLL) from outside the standard installation directory, where the Bandizip process was launched by explorer.exe, potentially indicating DLL side-loading.
Detects shell or interpreter processes spawned as children of the
PAN-OS management web service. Exploitation of CVE-2026-0322 (authenticated RCE,
CWE-94) in the management interface results in the web server process forking
unexpected /bin/sh, curl, wget or scripting interpreter children to run
post-exploitation commands on the management plane.

Detects the creation of a Windows scheduled task with the name or command containing 'WinRTCS' correlated with WMI permanent event subscription activities or execution of the 'own_lib.ps1' watchdog script within a 1-hour window on the same device, using Microsoft Defender XDR tables.
Detects when the same initiating process stops or deletes Windows services and subsequently deletes scheduled tasks or WMI event subscriptions within a 15-minute window on a single device, potentially indicating defense evasion or clean-up actions.
Detects a sequence where a FortiSIEM-related process writes or modifies a shell script in a cron or phoenix directory, followed closely within 2 minutes by a child process spawned by cron executing that same written script file.
Detects web servers (httpd, apache2, nginx, php-fpm) or Request Tracker (RT) Perl worker processes spawning suspicious child processes such as shells, downloaders, netcat, or Python interpreters, indicative of post-exploitation or web application compromise.
Detects known Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) associated with the Ebury Linux backdoor, including specific file hashes, implants like libkeyutils.so.1.10.2, malicious IP connections, and associated network/email artifacts using Microsoft Defender XDR advanced hunting.

Detects Python interpreter activity accessing multiple credential store categories (such as password managers, Discord, SSH keys, or Steam) in a short window on a single device, or specific stealer scripts associated with known file paths.
Detects PowerShell processes spawned via shortcut files (lnk) using suspicious command-line parameters that subsequently create both a text file and a Discord-named executable on the same device within a 10-minute window.
Detects persistence mechanisms established via Registry Run/RunOnce keys, Startup folder modifications, or scheduled task creation using specific tool names such as client32 or pcictlui.
Detects when AppLocker "Audit only" enforcement mode reports that an Application, DLL, Script, MSI, or Packaged-App would have been blocked if AppLocker "Enforce rules" enforcement mode was enabled.
Detects the creation of WordPress administrator accounts using MySQL or WP-CLI command-line tools on hosts, specifically looking for specific username prefixes or email domains associated with suspicious activities.
Detects PowerShell launched hidden and non-interactive with an insecure execution policy and Base64 decode-and-execute, or a script combining Base64 decode-and-execute with browser history collection and WMI shadow copy enumeration, as seen in the Midnight Blizzard (GTG-20006) stager.
Detects endpoint execution of specific known brute-force scripts and tools (such as ssh_brute.py, brute3.py, auto_login.py, etc.) using Python or shell interpreters, correlated with a high outbound network connection fan-out (50 or more distinct target IPs) from the same process.
Detects the WinLol Rust dropper staging a DLL sideload by writing a copy of Microsoft OneDrive.exe and a proxy version.dll into a user temp directory by a non-OneDrive, non-installer process.
Detects PowerShell execution involving Base64 decoding or certutil decoding combined with writing files to the AppData directory using .NET I/O methods or PowerShell cmdlets.
Detects when common office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc.) or archive utilities/PDF readers spawn command-line interpreters or scripting engines (cmd.exe, powershell.exe, wscript.exe, etc.), which is a common indicator of phishing document execution or malicious archive extraction.
Detects a specific sequence of behavior associated with Gryxa data collection and exfiltration. A single process queries system state or logs (scheduled tasks, WMI, event logs), creates an archive file (.zip, .7z, .rar), and establishes an outbound public network connection shortly thereafter.
