Detects configuration changes to Oracle Audit Vault. The Vault is the integrity
control for database auditing, so altering its configuration can stop collection,
narrow what is recorded, or redirect the audit trail — removing the evidence of
whatever follows.

Treat any change here as affecting the reliability of all database audit data for
the period concerned.

Onboarding: ORACLE-AUDIT-VAULT is ingested via Syslog (KV) (Bloo extractor 310).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

stream=configuration where sourcename='ORACLE-AUDIT-VAULT'
and action='CONFIGURATION_CHANGED'
| groupby user, config, srcip

Detects a privileged account authenticating to destinations outside its established
pattern. Privileged accounts are usually scoped to a defined estate — a database
admin reaches databases, not workstations. Appearance outside that scope is lateral
movement using legitimate credentials, which endpoint tooling will not flag.

Onboarding: CYBERARK is ingested via Syslog (CEF) (Bloo extractor 279).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

Detects a single account deleting a large number of files on the NAS. On shared
storage this is either ransomware working through the share, a destructive insider,
or an attacker removing backups before encrypting the primary estate.

NAS appliances rarely carry endpoint agents, so their own logs are frequently the
only place this is visible.

Onboarding: DISKSTATION-NAS is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 826).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

stream=documents where sourcename='DISKSTATION-NAS' and action='DELETED'
| duration 10m
| groupby user, srcip
| select user, srcip, count(*) as cnt
| having cnt > 50

Detects one internal host repeatedly triggering DNS threat blocks. A single block is
routine background noise; the same host blocked repeatedly means something on it
keeps trying to reach hostile infrastructure, which indicates a persistent infection
rather than a passing click.

The block itself is not reassuring: it tells you the host is compromised, only that
this particular channel failed.

Onboarding: INFOBLOX is ingested via Syslog (CEF) (Bloo extractor 155).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

stream=threat where sourcename='INFOBLOX' and action='THREAT_BLOCKED'

Detects a privileged credential retrieved from the vault with no session following it.
Legitimate checkout is followed by work. Retrieval without use suggests the credential
was taken to be kept — staged for later, or exfiltrated for use outside the platform
where the vault cannot see it.

This is a slow-burn detection and deliberately so: it surfaces preparation rather
than action, which is where the response window is widest.

Onboarding: PAM360 is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 879).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

Detects use of a vaulted privileged credential from a source address with no prior
history for that account. Privileged accounts operate from a narrow and stable set of
jump hosts; a new origin means either an undocumented access path or an attacker
operating the credential from their own foothold.

Onboarding: CYBERARK is ingested via Syslog (CEF) (Bloo extractor 279).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

Detects a DHCP lease request from a MAC address absent from the asset inventory. DHCP
sees every device that joins the network, including those with no agent, no domain
membership and no EDR — which makes it the only reliable place to catch unmanaged
hardware appearing on the wire.

Requires an inventory of known MAC addresses to compare against; without one this
detection has nothing to anchor to.

Onboarding: WIN-DHCP is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 79).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

Detects any authentication attempt against a Smokescreen decoy asset. Decoys are not
published in directories, hold no business function and are never referenced by
legitimate automation, so an authentication attempt is attacker activity by definition
rather than something requiring interpretation.

This is the highest-signal, lowest-noise detection available on any log source: there
is no benign path to a decoy login.

Onboarding: SMOKESCREEN is ingested via Syslog (CEF) (Bloo extractor 206).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

Detects repeated lease denials for one MAC address. Denials occur when a device is
refused an address — commonly because it is not permitted on the segment — so a
device persistently retrying is attempting to join a network it has been excluded
from.

Onboarding: WIN-DHCP is ingested via Syslog (Bloo extractor 79).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/syslog-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

Detects a Box account accessed from a source address with no prior history, followed
by substantial download activity. The combination is far stronger than either signal
alone: a new location by itself is routine for mobile users, and downloads by
themselves are routine for everyone.

Onboarding: BOX is ingested via Box native connector (Bloo extractor 711).
Integration guide: https://bloo.io/docs/hypercloud/box-connector

BQL (Bloo Query Language):

stream=documents where sourcename='BOX' and action='DOWNLOADED'
| duration 1h
